Mount Carmel - College for Girls

Governors

As a voluntary aided school the Governors of the College play a vital role in the strategic management of the College. Governors of the College come from a variety of different backgrounds and all bring different areas of expertise to the College. There are a number of different categories of Governors appointed or elected from different groups within the College community.

The majority of our Governors are appointed by the Diocese of Westminster and are known as Foundation Governors. Parents are asked to elect Parent Governors. Staff are asked to elect a Staff Governor and the local council are asked to nominate two Governors from the Governing Body. (Each Governor is appointed for a term of four years).
