Students Visit Tate Modern

The Art Department took 40 Year 7 students to the Tate Modern Gallery on Tuesday 3rd July 2012. This visit was to look at the work of artists the students had studied this year, so students from 7MA and 7EB went to see the work of Expressionist artist Edvard Munch, and 7EP and 7AF looked at the work of Surrealist artists, including Salvador Dali.
Students were each given a sketchbook and pencil and spent the day sketching the paintings and analysing and evaluating the works of art.
